President barack obama died now in the White House


Barack Hussein Obama II (Honolulu, August 4, 1961) is a lawyer and politician of the United States, the 44th and current president of the country, the first african-American to hold the position. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate in political science from Columbia University and later attended law at Harvard University, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review. He also served as a community leader and as a lawyer in the defense of civil rights and taught constitutional law at the Law School of the University of Chicago from 1992 to 2004. He represented for three terms the 13th District in Illinois State Senate, between 1994-2004 , trying to be elected unsuccessfully to the US Congress in 2000.

In 2004, after winning the Democratic primary election for Senate in Illinois, he was invited to deliver a speech at the Democratic National Convention that year, and thus received national media attention. In November, he was elected Senator with 70% of votes. Obama began his campaign for the presidency in 2007 and in 2008, after a close fight in party primaries with fellow Senator Hillary Clinton, got enough support to win the nomination of the Democratic Party to the presidency of the United States. He defeated Republican candidate John McCain in the 2008 presidential election and was sworn in as president on 20 January 2009. Nine months later, won the Nobel Peace Prize.

During his first term, Obama signed various proposals for economic stimulus in response to the Great Recession that hit the United States between 2007 and 2009 through bills American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. It also signed tax cut laws for the class average and job creation in 2010. Other important national initiatives during his first term include the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, this project which is now called Obamacare; the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act; the Do not ask, do not tell; the Budget Control Act of 2011; and the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. In foreign policy, Obama ordered the end of US involvement in the Iraq War; increased the number of US troops in Afghanistan; signed treaties on arms control with Russia; authorized armed intervention in the Civil War Libya; and ordered a military operation in Pakistan that killed Osama bin Laden.

Obama was re-elected president in November 2012, defeating Republican Mitt Romney, and was sworn in for a second term on 20 January 2013. During his second term, Obama has been promoting internal policies related to gun control in response to shooting primary school Sandy Hook, and defended LGBT equality. In foreign policy, Obama ordered the return of troops to Iraq in response to the Islamic state established after the withdrawal of US troops in that country in 2011, and has continued the process of closure of US combat operations in Afghanistan.
